1. Candlewood Lake 04/27/2025 : 700am - 300pm
Mike Hall and Murphy Gruinger took the victory on a very tough day with 9.77 lbs of smallmouth. Jon Puhalski and Kevin Hart were a close second with 9.37 lbs, while Rob Killeen and Nate Casarella grabbed 3rd with 7.78 lbs. A 2.69 lb Largemouth was good enough for lunker for Jon Puhalski Jr and Pat Geist. Congrats!
2. Highland Lake 05/18/2025 : 7am - 3pm
Originally scheduled for McDonough, the club had to move to Highland due to dam work and high waters. We got the green light late Friday for McDonough after being told 'No' on May 9th. Billy Slavis & Matt Vogt (mostly Matt according to Billy) took the victory at Highland with 14.26 lbs of largemouth! Mike Hall & Murphy Gruninger finished in 2nd with 13.78 lbs and newcomers Brandon and Brian Barnosky rounded out 3rd with 10.89 lbs. Billy & Matt took lunker as well with a 5.61 lb largemouth BARELY edging out Brandon and Brian who had a 5.57 lb largie. Congrats to all!
3. CT RIVER (OXBOW MARINA, North Hampton, MA)
06/1/2025 : 700am - 300pm
The River rose 4 feet in one day after a rainy Saturday, but Kevin Barnosky still managed 15.54 lbs to take the win! Newcomer (from the day before) Matt Cipriano took second with 11.05 lbs, while Bill Clark and Caiden Husey grabbed 3rd with 9.26 lbs. Kevin also took lunker with a stout 5.46 lb largemouth all by himself. Congrats!
4. Lake Onata (Pittsfield, MA) 06/29/2025 : 700am - 300pm
Always a tough lake after spawn, but Kevin still managed a limit weighing 13.00 lbs for the win. Kevin has now won back-to-back LCW&J Tournaments SOLO! Jon Puhalski and Kevin Hart grab 2nd with 11.63 lbs while Nate Casarella & Rob Killeen wrangle 3rd with 11.09 lbs. Kevin gets lunker AGAIN with a 4.23 lb largemouth!
5. Congamond Lakes 07/09/2025 : Wednesday Mid-Week - 700am - 300pm
A different story without Front Facing Sonar this year. Wait, that's not true; Kevin Barnosky takes the win with 15.24 lbs -- again! That makes it three in a row for Kevin, all of which he has been solo. The other two Barnosky's (cousin and uncle) take second with 11.25 and Jon Puhalski Jr and Pat Geist grab 3rd with 10.66. You can guess who caught lunker. Kevin's 3.73 lb smallmouth got the job done. It appears the club banned the wrong thing this year.
6. Lake Lillinonah 07/27/2025 : 700am - 300pm
Bobby & Rich Tomasini fish their first tournament of the season and WIN their first tournament of the season. 17.35 lbs after a dead fish penalty got the job done with Mike Hall and Murphy Gruninger taking second with 14.55 lbs. Rounding out third place was Joel Lackey & Ken Pratt with 13.77 lbs. Joel and Ken took lunker as well with a 4.30 lb smallie! Congrats!
7. Lake Zoar 08/17/2025: 600am - 200pm
Jon Puhalski Jr and Pat Geist win their first tournament of the year bagging 10.78 lbs of largies! Nate Casarella and Rob Killeen grab 2nd place with 9.97 lbs. Jon Puhalski and Kevin Hart take 3rd with 9.78 lbs. Jon Jr. and Pat also got lunker with a 3.84 lb largemouth. Congrats!
8. Lake Champlain (North Hero, VT)
(2 day Club Classic) 08/30/2025 - 8/31/2025 600am - 400pm day 1 , 600am - 200pm
The Litchfield County Worm & Jig club held its annual 2-day club classic for the first time up north on Lake Champlain launching out of North Hero, VT. It was tough weather conditions on day 1, but the fish were biting! Kevin Hart & Jon Puhalski brought in the biggest bag with 18.99 lbs of largies. Close behind them (by only .05 ounces) was Mike Hall & Murphy Gruninger with a 18.94 lb bag. Day 2 was the complete opposite in terms of weather and the bite shut down! Rob Killeen & Nate Casarella brought in the biggest bag - 15.60 lbs of largemouth (opposite of their smallie bag on day 1). Close behind with enough to take the 2 day tournament was Kevin Hart on Jon Puhalski with 15.05 lbs. Their two-day total of 34.04 secured their club classic victory! Rob Killeen & Nate Casarella took second with 32.03 lbs. Mike Hall & Murphy Gruninger took 3rd with 31.15 lbs and rounding out the last money spot in 4th was Jon Puhalski Jr. & Pat Geist with 28.54 lbs. They also took lunker on day 1 with a 4.63 largemouth while the day 2 lunker went to Mike Hall & Murphy Gruninger with a 4.11 largie. We actually took a few photos this time - check the photo carousel on the right. Congrats to all!
9. Twin Lakes
09/14/2025 : 700am - 300pm
The Cipriano's (Matt & Ron) win their first Litchfield County Worm & Jig tournament with 15.57 lbs! Joel Lackey on his own grabbed second place with 13.72. Bill Slavis and Matt Vogt took third with 13.17. Lunker went to Joel Lackey with 5.58 lb Largemouth. Congrats!
10. Higland Lake 9/28/2025: 700am - 300pm
Tough Day for all, but the OTHER father and son duo got the job done! Bobby & Rich Tomasini took home the victory with 12.05 lbs. They were the only team with a limit. Kevin Hart & Jon Puhalski grabbed 2nd with 9.26 lbs. Lunker when to Jon & Kevin with a 3.30 largemouth!
11. Candlewood 2 (Squantz)
10/19/2025 : 800am - 400pm
It was a really tough bite, but Kevin Barnosky & Lenny Gaita scraped together 12.82 lbs to take the victory. Kevin, whether solo or with his partner, won nearly every LCW&J tournament he fished this year (4 total)! Taking second was Nate Casarella & Rob Killeen with 7.79 lbs. They also took lunker with a 3.82 Smallmouth. Nate & Rob capture the Team of the Year pretty easily because they were the only team to fish every tournament of the 2025 trail. However, they would still win if there were one drop (even though this year's by-laws stipulate NO drop). This makes 4 straight years Nate & Rob fished every single club tournament. Congrats on a great season to all!
